Albania: The Cave Of Pëllumbas

The Cave Of Pëllumbas is one of the great natural wonders of Albania. The cave is in central Albania in the Skorana Gorge. This cave is open to the public. This cave is very important in history and to paleontologists because human remains from around 10,000 to 400,000 years ago the paleontologists believe that humans were a part of the paleolithic time period. There were also remains of the now-extinct cave bear. Even though this cave is small only 10 to 15 m in width and 45 m vertical the importance it had on history and to science is huge.
