Bhutan: Punakha Suspension Bridge

  • Punakha Suspension Bridge is a beautiful 520 foot (170-180 meters) long suspension bridge connecting Punakha Dzong to Shengana, Samdingkha, and Wangkha villages across the Tsang Chu River. Many of the locals believe that the bridge was built by a Buddhist monk. This suspension bridge is the longest in the country. The bridge is always covered in beautiful prayer flags all throughout the bridge. Most of the prayer flags are for the Buddhist religion. The bridge offers amazing views and stunning photo opportunities that you can not see anywhere else in the world.
