Belarus: Mound Of Glory

 













Mound Of Glory is a monument in Belarus that is roughly 21 km from Minsk, Belarus on the Moscow Highway. The memorial is a complex where soviet forces stayed during the Operation Bagration in World War Two. The memorial is to celebrate soviet soldiers that fought in World War Two and to honor the liberation of Belarus. Construction of the monument began in November of 1967 and was finally completed in 1969. In 2004 the monument did have a restoration to the structure and monument itself. This year the Independence Day of Belarus was celebrated at Mound Of Glory. The best way to view this amazing monument is through one of the Mound Of Glory tours offered at the monument.

Barbados: Animal Flower Cave

 














Animal Flower Cave is the only accessible sea cave in all of Barbados. It is located under the cliffs at North Point St. Lucy, Barbados. The cave was first discovered in 1780 by 2 English explorers. There is a coral floor of the cave that is estimated to be 400,000 to 500,000 years old. The dating process was done by the German Geological Institute. There is another chamber of the cave called the Swimming Pool. It is a completely clear and still water that does not perceive depth so it looks really shallow but in reality it's very deep.
